I've been very interested in LiDAR recently (4/2025) and have been reading a bunch to get a handle on the current state of the field- mostly academic papers. I found it kind of hard to keep track of all them, so I wanted to create a tool to visualize them (and their connections) easier. You can access it at github.com/cduckle/PaperTrail
   

It has an open database (which I think is more fun). Please don't mess up the LiDAR page, but feel free to add your own!

This project uses a React-flow front end with a FastAPI backend. It is deployed on my Linode server (just like this website). This project showed me how powerful chatGPT can be for basic projects, as I had never used React or FastAPI before, but was able to build a local prototype of this app within 45min!!
